De Dietrich Process Systems offers turnkey solutions for CBD and THC extraction
The extraction of cannabidiol (CBD) and THC from cannabis and hemp benefit of the know-how De Dietrich Process Systems has developed in plant extraction. The company increases its range to cover all steps with ready-to-use installations.

In the field of plant chemistry, the molecules currently being recovered the most are cannabidiol (CBD) and THC from cannabis and hemp. The extraction of these compounds relies on techniques identical to those used by plant extraction processes in which the group already has considerable expertise. Most often initiated by a solvent extraction, using a supercritical CO2 or organic solvent, a multiplicity of subsequent steps then determines specific qualities or types of use: preferential extraction of CBD, THC, pharmaceutical applications or in food supplements.
De Dietrich Process Systems develops turnkey solutions for installing these processes, on customer request, by performing simulations and tests in-house. Based on their knowledge of implementing plant extraction systems, the PGS (Pharma & Green solutions) engineering team relies both on standard solutions available on the market as well as the group’s own proprietary solutions. They select with their customers the relevant extraction and following steps for the future use.
Moreover, the group has recently acquired the Spanish company Zean whose purification technologies are used for CBD production. And now all steps can benefit from ready-to-use installations : extraction, filtration, concentration, winterization, decarboxylation, distillation, crystallization, purification and evaporation.
The solutions already installed concern both batch and continuous processes: extraction for pharmaceutical purposes in Germany, THC / CBD purification in Spain... With teams in Spain, France and Germany, the group operates throughout Europe.
